Your local workspace
Orbit stores wheels, entries, results, settings and templates in your browser's localStorage. Images are stored in IndexedDB. Backups are downloaded to your device. Ordinary editing and random selection do not upload this content. Clearing browser storage may delete it; keep a backup of data you want to retain.
Number Picker, Team Generator, Dice Roller and Yes / No use a separate localStorage record for settings and bounded recent history. Compact team images stay in that record. Full .orbit backups include these tools; exporting one wheel excludes unrelated utility data. Utility setup links encode number, dice or answer settings in the URL, without result history. These links are not encrypted. Do not put sensitive text in shared labels.
Sharing and hosting
Visual Dice, Cards, Mystery Boxes, Reels, Plinko, Ball Draw and Marble Race use a separate visual-tools localStorage record with compressed images, settings, remaining draw pools and up to twenty recent results per tool. Full .orbit backups and visual-tools backups include this record; single-wheel exports exclude it. Shared visual tools publish only active configuration and images, excluding history, remaining pools, hidden assignments, decorative motion seeds and original image filenames. Draws in a read-only shared view stay in that viewing session. Previously opened visual snapshots may be cached on this device for offline use.
Choosing Create share link publishes a snapshot and its active images through Netlify Functions to Netlify Blobs. Anyone with that link can view or copy the snapshot. History and original uploaded filenames are excluded. Published snapshots are independent of later local edits. Avoid publishing sensitive information; this version has no user-facing remote deletion control.
Netlify hosts the site and processes requests, including network information such as IP addresses and browser request details, for delivery, security and rate limiting. Orbit does not install analytics. Hosting infrastructure may maintain operational logs.
Advertising and consent
Advertising is optional and can be disabled by the site operator. When enabled and correctly configured, a Google-certified consent provider may load on the normal workspace to collect choices. Orbit requests the Google AdSense advertising SDK only after a permitted signal from that provider. Unknown or denied consent blocks Orbit's advertising requests. Google services may process IP addresses, device/browser information and cookies or other identifiers according to your choices and their configuration.
Orbit does not append entry labels, winner names, uploaded filenames, images, history, templates, backups or IndexedDB data to advertising requests. Advertising and messaging are excluded from shared links, this Privacy page and offline use. Third-party processing is described in Google's advertising privacy information and Netlify's privacy notice.
Your choices
Use Manage consent in the workspace footer to reopen the connected provider's choices. If that provider is unavailable, Orbit displays a neutral notice and does not create its own consent banner. Revocation affects future app-issued requests; it cannot undo requests already sent. Local random selection works without advertising consent.
Policy responsibility
This notice describes Orbit's implementation. The site operator is responsible for reviewing applicable requirements, provider configuration, retention practices and any necessary operator/contact disclosures before activating advertising. Contact the person who provided or operates this site for privacy questions.
