Orbit

About Orbit

Orbit helps turn a list of acceptable options into a random choice. It keeps the tool in front and the setup understandable.

Everyday choices, clear controls

Use a wheel to choose a name, a horizontal Roulette strip to reveal a game option, or a coin flip to settle a small tie. Number Picker, Team Generator, Dice Roller and Yes / No handle tasks that do not need a wheel. These tools are useful for classrooms, meetings, games and personal choices; they do not replace judgement or check eligibility for you.

Local first

No account is required. Wheels, settings and histories are stored in your browser; wheel images use IndexedDB. Team images are compact local utility data. Creating a remote share deliberately publishes a separate snapshot. Anyone with its link can view it, so keep sensitive entries out of shared content.

Orbit can work offline after its first online visit activates the service worker. Browser storage is not permanent safekeeping. Export a .orbit backup before clearing storage or moving devices.

Fairness and design

Wheel, Roulette and the direct-selection tools use browser Web Crypto to choose results before revealing them. The physical Dice, Plinko, Ball Draw and Marble Race tools instead seed initial conditions and measure the simulated outcome. Enabled wheel weights deliberately change selection chances. The minimal interface, keyboard controls and reduced-motion support aim to make a selection easy to understand, rather than distract from it. No user counts, awards or formal accessibility certification are claimed.
