Online Dice Roller

Roll one die or several independent dice. Read the individual values and their combined total without extra game rules.

Choose your roll

Pick a familiar die preset or set custom sides. A die with six sides returns a whole number from 1 to 6, inclusive. Up to 100 dice can be rolled at once; custom dice support 2 to 1,000,000 sides. The optional modifier is added once to the sum, rather than to every die.

For 2d6 + 3, choose six sides, two dice and a modifier of three. The result shows both dice, their addition and the final total. Two six-sided dice do not produce a uniform total from 2 to 12: middle totals have more combinations than the extremes.

Use the result with your own rules

Orbit supplies random values and addition. It does not decide a game's success conditions, rerolls or advantage rules. Agree on those rules first. Copy a result, review the last twenty rolls, or share only your dice settings. Opening a setup link does not reveal the creator's roll history.

Selection comes before the reveal

Orbit draws random values through browser Web Crypto. Bounded integer sampling rejects values that would create modulo bias. The chosen result exists before its reveal animation begins. Reduced motion removes that visual movement; it does not change selection probabilities. Independent draws do not compensate for an earlier streak.

On this device, by default

Settings and recent results are kept in this browser. No account is required and generating a result sends no entries or results to a server. Browser storage can be cleared or become unavailable; export a backup for anything you need to keep. Private browsing and another device have separate storage.

After an online visit activates Orbit's service worker, this tool can run offline. Opening a new remote wheel snapshot still needs a connection. Use fullscreen for a group; if your browser does not allow native fullscreen, presentation mode keeps the tool usable.
